At Americans for Palestinian Orphans (APO), our journey has been marked by significant achievements and impactful collaborations aimed at supporting Gaza’s orphaned children. Our milestones reflect our growth, partnerships, and unwavering commitment to addressing the urgent needs of these vulnerable young lives. From achieving 501(c)(3) status to launching key initiatives and forming strategic alliances, each milestone represents a step forward in our mission to provide education, care, and hope.

APO was officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, enabling us to expand our outreach and fundraising efforts to support Gaza’s orphaned children.

APO formed a strategic partnership with United Muslim Relief (UMR) to enhance collaborative efforts to deliver child size crutches to orphaned children in Gaza.

We established a partnership with the BDesh Foundation to further our mission through combined resources and initiatives

Details: Launch of bike share ads calling for an end to the 17-year siege that obstructs life-saving humanitarian aid for Gaza’s orphans

Details: Introduction of a new internship program aimed at engaging and developing young professionals to support APO’s mission. The program ran from the Week of May 27, 2024, to the Week of August 19, 2024.

Recruitment of a dedicated liaison to enhance support and coordination for orphaned children in Gaza.

Collaboration with CRS, UNRWA, and ANERA, in Gaza to provide supplies and support towards the efforts of launching educational and recreational camps.

Educational Program at Deir Al Balah
